WATER-BASED, FIBRE-REINFORCED ACRYLIC,SEAMLESS WATERPROOFER

Uses

• Waterproofing stable flashings: Provides a strong, durable seal for all types of stable flashings.
• Parapet wall waterproofing: Ensures effective water resistance for vertical surfaces like parapet walls.
• Flat roof waterproofing: Ideal for protecting flat roofs against water ingress and environmental wear.
• Re-waterproofing: Perfect for rejuvenating existing waterproofing systems.

Surface Preparation

Ensure surfaces are thoroughly prepared to guarantee optimal adhesion and performance. Surfaces must be:

• Clean and free from laitance, fungal growth, grease, oil, or any loose or flaking particles.

Bonding and Priming

Non-Metal Surfaces:

1. Mix 1 part abe® fibrated super laycryl with 1 part water to create a bonding primer.
2. Allow the primer to dry before applying the waterproofing layers.

Metal Surfaces:

1. Apply abe® 4-metal primer, a water-based etching primer specifically formulated for metal surfaces.
2. Allow a drying time of 4 hours.

Application Instructions

1. Apply the first base coat using a brush. Ensure the coat is applied thickly and evenly.
2. Allow the base coat to dry for 2-3 hours.
3. Apply a finishing coat at right angles to the base coat for complete coverage.
4. Full curing time is 7 days.

Cleaning Instructions

• While wet: Clean brushes and tools with water.
• Once dried: Use abe® super brush cleaner for effective cleaning.

Cautions

• Use a membrane on all non-stable gaps and joints exceeding 3mm.
• Ensure application on well-drained roofs to avoid water pooling.

Protection and Maintenance

While abe® fibrated super laycryl is designed for extended life, regular maintenance is recommended:

• Apply a maintenance coat every 3 to 4 years to ensure continued performance.
